Satta Pass
This superb view was the subject of a famous painting about 150 years ago.
Satta Pass in Shizuoka City.
Satta Pass is a magnificent viewpoint overlooking Mount Fuji and Suruga Bay. If the weather is clear, you can admire the majestic figure of Mount Fuji. A landscape view from here was drawn by Utagawa Hiroshige, a famous ukiyo-e artist of the 19th century who influenced European painters such as Van Gogh and Monet. Although nowadays a highway stretches through the superb view of Mount Fuji and the sea, the beauty remains unchanged from the Edo period. Leave your car in the parking lot, walk up in a narrow road, and eventually Mount Fuji will appear. Surrounding the walking paths are lush trees full of tangerines, a specialty of Shizuoka, and the gentle landscape of Shizuoka City.

2 men are travelers. They are excited and looking over Mt.Fuji
The other man is a local resident. It seems he is not interested in this beautiful view because it is quite natural for him. He is just climbing up the pass without looking over Mt.Fuji.
If you are interested in ukiyo-e, Tokaido Hiroshige Museum of Art is highly recommended .
