We organised a private tour with Hirokane to visit Mount Fuji area. There were 6 of us and we had the jumbo taxi with English speaking guide – Kosuke and we also had an English driver – Elliot.

Booking via email was an easy process and Hirokane kept us updated regularly prior to our tour. On the morning of our tour we were picked up ahead of schedule and headed off to our first attraction Lake Tanuki. It was a pleasant drive and Kosuke and Elliot kept us entertained.
Mount Fuji was being shy so we didn’t get to see her or her reflections on the water but it was still a lovely spot to visit at and not too busy so easy to take pictures.

Next stop was Shiraito and Otodome Falls. They were spectacular even through the mist. After that we visited the Fujisan Hongu Sengen Shrine. We stopped for some lunch at a nearby food market and it was tasty. The Shrine itself was beautifully maintained and quiet which allowed us plenty of time to explore the Shrine and gardens.

As we had some time left we even got to visit a local award winning Sake brewery and had a few samples! A bonus at the end of a lovely day. Can’t thank Hirokane, Kosuke and Elliot enough for their attention during this tour. It has left us with wonderful memories to treasure. I would definitely recommend using Local Travel Partners.
